welcome to the library! here you will find blog, book & zine recommendations. i am trying to read more LGBT literature & zines, so you will see a lot of those, but i'll try to include reading about my other interests too!

• thanks ken penders by bobby shroeder: a tumblr blog documenting a woman's adventure in reading the archie sonic comics chronologically. updates are sporadic, but bobby is incredibly funny, so i highly recommend reading!
• crimson reflections by rainedragon: a blog dedicated to the lolita fashion community in all aspects: resources, clothing hauls, release reviews, and more! i love reading this blog when i'm feeling a little burnt out with the fashion.
• bogleech: a blog reviewing creature design, horror, talking about weird fiction, and all things scary! bogleech has been blogging since 2001, so there's a lot to read!

zines

• unapolagetic: the journal of irresponsible gender #1 (1997) by anne tagonist: a lesbian and transfem focused zine from the 90s including articles about lesbian local events, the intersection of gender and public transportation, and being a transgender kaiju. contains some NSFW artwork and literature.
• mad kweer #3 (2004) by shawn neal: a zine written by a black queer man that discusses the club scene and local LGBT community in madison, wisconsin. contains some discussion of NSFW
• hatch! mister sister (2005) by MKD & asher: a zine written by a mother recounting her experiences with a transgender son in the late 90s/early 00s. heartwarming and fantastic read.
